In a recent interview televised in Manhattan on the Global Business Trends TV Show,
John M. Power, senior partner of Power Law Firm LLP (formerly Power, Weiss &
Kurnit, LLP) , was asked about the merits of estate planning. He clearly defines and discusses
the importance, advantages, and flexibility of a Living Trust, illustrating why the trust is a
better alternative to a will in most situations.
Power states that the attendees of his firm's free informational seminars often say how grateful
they are for the knowledge provided by the seminars. He says many Americans do not take advantage
of what the Living Trust offers - and some don't fully understand the need to protect their assets
after they're gone. Power explains the difference between a "good" and a "great" estate planning
attorney, and identifies the importance of the Three Year Review.
Overall, the 15-minute video segment provides quality information about estate planning and will
bring about a new awareness of the Living Trust to those who view it on the air.
